Le Diner a San Francisco on the Marina Green

Friday was the second Le Dîner à San Francisco - an elegant, secret location, pop-up picnic dinner with a long tradition in Paris. The location was not revealed until Friday afternoon, when thousands of white dressed diners descended on San Francisco's Marina Green to set up elaborate place settings along the long rows of tables on the lawn. 

With dramatic views of the fog rolling in over bay, Alcatraz Island and Golden Gate Bridge, it made for a grand dinner with friends {and almost 5,000 others} ...
